The corporate world is always trying to be more efficient, and yet, more often than not, it is full of arduous and repetitive steps that make the process longer. Just take this temp worker’s transition from part-time to full-time. He was hired with the full intention of eventually becoming a full-time worker. They simply had to get a few things in order and then he would be transitioned. After four months the time had finally come! But instead of just filling out some paperwork, he had to interview. Kind of strange, but whatever, corporate world means having to do everything by the book, so sure, why not? However, the interview wasn’t as “by the book” as this employee thought it was going to be. Instead, he was interviewed directly from his own desk, where he was working, doing the job he was being interviewed for…
Now, if you have ever worked in corporate America, then you know that you always have to interview for a new position, even if it’s one within the company you have worked in for years. However, you also know that corporate America always likes to be professional, or at least appear professional. So this whole interview was extremely bizarre… Still, we hope he got the position!
