ADDIS ABABA — As elderly autocrats gather in luxurious secrecy this weekend, a TECTONIC CRACK is tearing across Africa. The continent’s supposed guardian, the African Union, stands exposed not as a unifier, but as a CORRUPT GENTLEMEN’S CLUB for the world’s oldest rulers, systematically BETRAYING a generation of 400 million young people into poverty and chaos.

While the AU summit parrots empty themes of “water and sanitation,” the streets tell the REAL story: a continent engulfed in military coups, RIGGED elections, and violent protests. Analysts confirm the bloc is in a DEADLY legitimacy crisis, having utterly failed the youth it was meant to uplift. “This is not an African Union for citizens. It’s a dictators’ union,” declares a senior Crisis Group analyst. The evidence is IRREFUTABLE. From Uganda to Nigeria, the AU has RUSHED to commend blatantly fraudulent polls and SIDELINE oppressed opposition voices, all while the people suffer.

This is a continent where the population is set to DOUBLE by 2050, yet it remains the ONLY place on Earth where rapid growth coincides with citizens becoming DESPERATELY POORER. The bitter paradox is by design: the AU prioritizes the interests of senile, long-serving leaders over the furious youth who see them as irrelevant. “They are there for their own interests,” seethes a young Nigerian, pointing to unchecked security crises and economic collapse.

As these cloistered elites discuss aligning with a “new world order,” they are IGNORING the revolution brewing at their own doorstep. Their weak, unenforced resolutions and failure to hold tyrants accountable have rendered the bloc a LAUGHINGSTOCK and a traitor to its founding ideals. The question is no longer if the AU will reform, but whether the betrayed masses will BURN it down entirely. The grand project of African unity is dead, assassinated from within by the very men sworn to protect it.
