‘The Hunting Wives’ Casts John Stamos in Season 2


John Stamos, Cam Gigandet and Dale Dickey have joined the cast of “The Hunting Wives” Season 2.

Stamos will play Chase Brylan, while Dickey plays Zelda Moffitt and Gigandet plays Gentle John Moffitt. Descriptions of their characters are yet to be announced.

Stamos is best known for starring as Jesse Katsopolis on ABC’s “Full House” for all eight seasons from 1987 to 1995, as well as the Netflix sequel series “Fuller House” for five seasons from 2016 to 2020. His other prominent credits include “ER” on NBC, “You” on Lifetime and later Netflix, “Big Shot” on Disney+ and “Palm Royale” on Apple TV.

Dickey’s best known roles include playing Merab in the 2010 film “Winter’s Bone” as well as Martha Bozeman in HBO’s “True Blood” and Ma June in Amazon Prime Video’s “Fallout.”

Gigandet’s breakout role was recurring as Kevin Volchok in “The O.C,,” with other credits including the films “Burlesque” (2010) and “Violent Night” (2022).

Stamos, Dickey and Gigandet join previously announced Season 2 cast members Kim Matula and Alex FitzAlan, as well as returning stars Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit, George Ferrier, Karen Rodriguez, Hunter Emery and Branton Box.

Season 2 of “The Hunting Wives” begins with Sophie (Snow) and Margo (Akerman) “on the outs,” per the official logline, “but soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games, the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?”

Rebecca Cutter created “The Hunting Wives” based on May Cobb’s novel of the same name and serves as showrunner. Executive producers include Cutter, Cobb and 3 Arts Entertainment’s Erwin Stoff. Lionsgate is the studio.
