TRUMP POSTS RACIST OBAMA VIDEO: “STOP THE FAKE OUTRAGE,” WHITE HOUSE SAYS
In a minute-long conspiracy video about the 2020 election, President Trump shared a clip depicting Barack and Michelle Obama as APES. The video, posted in the middle of the night on Truth Social, uses one of the oldest and most vile racist tropes in American history—the dehumanization of Black people as animals.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt DEFENDED IT. She told the public to “please stop the fake outrage,” claiming it was just part of a longer “internet meme” that also showed other Democrats as cartoon animals. But Trump’s clip showed ONLY the Obamas. The post was later deleted, with the White House blaming a “staffer.”
The reaction was swift and damning, even from Trump’s own allies. Republican Senator Tim Scott, who is Black, called it “the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House.” He said he was “praying it was fake.”
This isn’t a mistake. It’s a PATTERN. Trump spent years pushing the racist “birther” lie about Obama. He’s used derogatory language about African nations. He’s trafficked in this exact imagery before.
Now, at the start of Black History Month, he’s doing it from the Oval Office. His team defends it. His party stays silent. And a dangerous signal is sent to the entire country about what is acceptable.
They know exactly what they’re doing.
