I found the story online and am now angry. Sadly, the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team felt “obliged to reimburse” the hotel themselves to maintain good relations with supporters. Although the hotel owners/Inn Keepers sound like good people who wouldn’t hold this against the rescue company.

As for the rescued individuals, you know the two guys who could have d*** had they not been rescued? According to the article, they demanded further discounts, extra food, and transportation assistance, despite the generosity provided.

Entitled? yeah, that’s one word for it. I have others, but don’t really want to get banned.
