This person was originally very happy when their uncle blessed them with his car. According to them, he literally gave to them with a signed title and everything. Since this person assumed it was their car, they’ve been doing all the usual upkeep: “paying insurance, registration, maintenance, everything.” Makes sense, right? That car is theirs now, so they may as well act like it.
Well… now their uncle is having a change of heart, and it honestly doesn’t look good for him. Instead of asking his family members for rides, or asking their advice for what to do next, he really, really, really wants this original car back.
I get his frustration, and the urgency of not having a car can be a big nuisance. But he’s isolating family members by insisting on having his old vehicle back. This person probably would’ve had no problem giving Unc a ride around town because he was generous enough to give them his car years ago. Now, he’s ruined that chance at goodwill.
