Remember the good old college days? When you weren’t partying until the cows came home, you were hitting the books and listening extra closely in the lecture hall on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Do you remember that one professor who probably didn’t know anything about the subject they were teaching? If so, we’re sure you also remember just how frustrating it was when they also had an ego so large it could climb up a beanstalk, and because of this, you had a vendetta against them the moment you saw their syllabus.

A professor versus student story is one of the most satisfying revenge story genres because of the power dynamic. Sometimes, the odd professor feels on top of the world and therefore subjects their students to undesirable conditions because they can. Power-trips aren’t uncommon in academic settings, and they usually occur as a result of realizing that they can’t control all of their students. Group punishments are common in elementary school, but at a reputable university? Might as well hand the students a baby bottle and blankie, too.

In this next story, a “disorganized” and “unprofessional” professor of a keyboard class changes the previously ungraded busy work in her syllabus to completion-graded work because one of her students slacked off and tried to be a class clown. Additionally, she requires all students to print out all of their assignments. As we said, group punishments are so kindergarten. The ex-student who shares the story explains that they had already completed their work digitally and didn’t want their professor to punish them for another student’s behavior. So, naturally, they decide to mess up their professor’s entire unfair scheme. How? By sharing their work en masse, and helping every slacker student complete their work via his. Good luck to the professor. who didn’t expect hundreds of printed-out assignments from every single student. Scroll below to read the full story and get a taste of sweet, sweet academic revenge.
