Dr Google, meet Dr Chatbot - neither is ready to see you now

YOUR AI DOCTOR IS A KILLER. A BOMBSHELL new study reveals that trusting chatbots with your health is a DEADLY GAMBLE, performing NO BETTER than a frantic Google search in a crisis. While tech giants push their “revolutionary” AI into our homes and phones, this research exposes a HARROWING REALITY: these systems are dispensing medical advice that could send you to the morgue.

University of Oxford researchers presented AI with ten medical scenarios, from a cold to a BRAIN HEMORRHAGE. In a controlled test, the bots identified conditions 95% of the time. But the NIGHTMARE began when REAL PEOPLE used them. The rate of correct diagnoses PLUMMETED to a horrifying 34.5%, with less than half of users guided to the right action—a FAILURE on par with desperate internet browsing.

The study uncovered CHILLING examples of AI’s lethal inconsistency. Two patients presented identical symptoms of a catastrophic brain bleed. One was correctly told to RUSH TO HOSPITAL. The other, describing a “terrible” instead of “worst” headache, was told to simply lie down in a dark room—a prescription for DEATH. This isn’t a glitch; it’s a SYSTEMIC BETRAYAL of public trust by an unregulated industry.

Co-author Adam Mahdi warns of a “HUGE GAP” between AI’s promised potential and its deadly real-world performance. The bots are loaded with medical data, but when interacting with panicked humans, they generate MISLEADING and INCORRECT responses that could cost lives. Yet, companies like OpenAI and Meta push forward, their silence in response to these findings SPEAKS VOLUMES.

Governments and corporations are funnelling millions into this dangerous experiment, gambling with YOUR health. As millions blindly consult these digital oracles for life-and-death decisions, we must ask: are we outsourcing our healthcare to a capricious algorithm that can’t tell a headache from a hemorrhage? The terrifying truth is now in the open, and it’s a diagnosis of corporate negligence. Your next chatbot consultation could be your last.
