Why ‘NCIS: Origins’ Won’t Air a New Episode for 11 More Weeks After Tonight

Origins' Won't Air a New Episode for 11 More Weeks After Tonight

NCIS: Origins is airing its fall finale episode tonight, and we have some details you may not be aware of at this time.

Tonight’s all new episode, “End of the Road,” will air at its usually time – 9pm ET – but then will not air again until February of 2026!

Keep reading to find out more…

In fact, the show is taking exactly 11 weeks off. After tonight, it will not return with a new episode until Tuesday evening (February 24).

While it may seem like a bummer that the franchise fave is taking so much time off, it’s actually very common for TV shows to take breaks for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. With a return in February, fans are hoping that the series will air straight through until the May finale date with less reruns. This is just a guess for right now, but stay tuned as we learn more.

Here’s the logline for tonight’s ep: When Lala’s favorite CI is shot, the team joins forces with Oceanside PD to determine who was behind the attack. Also, Franks visits his brother Mason (guest star Philip Winchester) at the compound, and Gibbs’ relationship with Diane is tested when she gets a job in Los Angeles. See stills from the episode in the gallery of this post.

If you’d like to catch up on past episodes, it’s also streaming on Paramount+ live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers.

Find out who else was in contention to play Gibbs before Mark Harmon was cast!
