The Disney animated sequel passed $1 billion at the global box office, becoming the second release this year to hit that achievement and the fastest to earn $1 billion across all animated motion picture releases and all PG-rated films.

Zootopia 2 has only been playing in theaters for 17 days, making this achievement all the more impressive. It reached $1 billion even faster than Disney’s previous released the live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch.
Disney has had five billion-dollar animated titles since 2013 between this movie, the first Zootopia, Frozen, Frozen 2, and Moana 2.
In addition to Zootopia 2 performing exceptionally well at the box office, its success has also driven record viewership to the original film and Zootopia+ on Disney+, where they’ve been viewed over 725 million hours globally.
