Many people are under contracts with their workplaces, totally unaware that they aren’t allowed to make statements online about their employer. Since they either don’t know or don’t care — and certainly can’t imagine their bosses finding their posts — they gleefully opine on their various social media platforms. Even those who talk bad about their bosses or coworkers under pseudonymous accounts, or by referring to their workplace without naming it, will be in hot water after the boss finds it. As you’ll see with these stories, even a post with like, under 10 words complaining about a boring meeting can be reason enough to fire an employee.Â
