For example, the most infuriating story of the bunch was a person who was forced to train their replacement — a nepo-hire. Nepotism hires are rarely good at their jobs. They just have the connections needed to get them in the door.
There’s also one tale that is totally baffling here. This employee wrote that they were fired for kind of no reason, the firing just came out of the blue. Guess why they were fired? Oh, because the company wanted to fire someone else with the exact same name. To avoid embarrassment, the company simply proceeded to fire the wrong person! That’s just so crazy, and it just goes to show that employee loyalty doesn’t mean a thing these days. Workplaces can and do fire employees at random, just because they can.
