Helicopter Mom refuses to let 13-year-old daughter attend movie with friends unless she can join them – FAIL Blog

I don’t know about you, but when I was 13, I had already been a babysitter for 2 years. I had a cell phone at that point. And you probably did too! I imagine a lot of us started doing babysitting jobs around this age, because it’s around the time where kids are considered responsible enough to look after themselves. Parents let them start learning to cook, they let them stay out a bit later, maybe they let them pick their bedtime. The kids have to start maturing at some point. 

Does this Mom want her daughter to leave the house at 18 having never texted her friends before, having never been trusted to be on her own? When is enough enough?
