At their very core, signs are supposed to direct people somewhere, or explain something to them.They can be very straightforward, like signs that just advertise a price, or they can include long sentences that half the people walking by won’t even read. That’s all well and good, but sometimes people overthink these signs and things get complicated! For whatever reason, folks will take a “graphic design is my passion” approach to their creations, making the signs all but illegible. A lot of these designers will take words that are normally read from left to right, and place them from top to bottom, creating beautiful poems and bewildering directions at the same time. That’s what happens when you overthink things!
