If you ask me, I think this boyfriend specifically gets mad because his ego gets hurt when his girlfriend threatens to call somebody else for help. He might feel like he should be able to help her and doesn’t want anybody to know he can’t. That said, even though I think I can understand the psychology behind it, that doesn’t make it ok or healthy. It’s easy for us to say, from outside the relationship: ‘She should dump him on the spot’, and that might be a valid option, but many more things come to play when we’re in a relationship; we should try to be mindful and always evaluate whether the flaw that’s presented to us is a deal breaker or not, because there will be no relationship on planet earth without it’s fair share of defects. But what do you think? Is this flaw undoubtedly too much?
