If I were him, I would let the brother know what happened immediately. I would try to arrange a date to have a serious conversation with him and ask him to book a couple of hours for it, because he will need time to process the blow. I would explain the whole situation and even offer my help if he needs to talk to the people he is trying to advise and back down on the book publishing. Sadly, the brother seems delusional enough to try to publish the book anyway, or keep up his genius performance. If that’s the case, I would strongly suggest getting him better help. I can’t believe the little brother didn’t even Google the supposed ‘debt forgiveness program’ lol.
