Let this story serve as a potent reminder to make sure that your needs are heard in the workplace. If you feel like you aren’t being taken seriously or that your experience is not even being considered, those feelings are probably not entirely in your head. However, in order to take that first step in improving your situation, you have to demand that attention and make your voice heard. You have a right to be there; in fact, they need you just as much as you need them (if not more so, depending on the situation). 

And if you’re on your way out of a workplace agreement and you’ve done everything you can to be helpful during your final weeks, don’t blame yourself for any disorganized mess that might be left behind because that is most certainly not your fault.
