When a superior expects their employee to take the heat for errors they did not make, that’s just poor mentorship. Integrity goes a long way in respected workplaces, so if you’re ever questioning whether or not you should do the right thing, you should probably do it anyway. Document the process, and never falter when in the workplace. You’re there for a reason, and if you play your cards right, you will get off scot-free the way you were intended. The employee in this story refuses to take responsibility for a problem they initially tried fixing, rightfully so.
