These stories always make us wonder what the end goal of the companies is. Do they really expect their employees to accept these new conditions, without anyone realizing they are much better off in a different workplace? Or perhaps they are counting on people quitting, wanting to reduce the workforce without having to fire anyone?
Either way, people are smarter than that, and they need an incentive to stay at a workplace after completely shifting their lives around because of a decision like this one. And that won’t happen if the boss stays home while everyone else is forced to come to the office.
