Yes, the Airbnb host is being ridiculous for even pursuing this lawsuit. It sounds like he’s in a desperate position or that he just wants vengeance. Regardless, starting this kind of legal trouble could only hurt him in the long run, especially since the Florida tourist kept his receipts proving not only that he was being surveilled and potentially recorded against his will, but also that Airbnb responded to his complaint in his favor. 

In short, as several members of this online community pointed out in the comments section, this man has so much evidence to defend himself. The only annoying factor here is that this whole incident transpired in the first place, and that now, he might have to go to court over this. Still, it’s hard to imagine a world in which a judge or jury would not side in his favor.
