The so-called “warranty” offered by Apple is just a smokescreen to hide their true intentions: to suck you dry for every penny you’ve got. Yeah, sure, they’ll replace your defective battery if it’s within the one-year window – but don’t think for a second that they care about your satisfaction. And if it’s still chugging along at 80% or higher, you’re just out of luck.

You’re essentially forced into a choice between shelling out top-dollar for their overpriced “official” repair service or slumming it with third-party hacks. And if you’re brave (or foolhardy) enough to try DIY, don’t expect Apple to lend a helping hand. It’s every man for himself in the dark alleys of the digital jungle.
