What’s your biggest life goal you dream of achieving? That one you’ve been working hard for years, sacrificing so many hours of your time to make it happen. Now imagine achieving that goal, only to discover that someone else has already made plans with what you’ve earned. Well, that’s the case of this new homeowner who bought her first house and suddenly found out she was supposed to share it with her sister’s family.

Try to picture all the things that lie behind someone’s life savings. All the skipped vacations, all the extra hours at work, all the carefully managed finances throughout long periods of time, to finally be able to afford a home. This woman was clearly excited about her achievement. And she had all the reasons to be excited for it. And as many people would, she shared the news with her family. She never expected that her sister would feel entitled to move in with her. And not only her sister. Husband and kids are also included in the combo.

Helping family is alright, but when it means being forced to live with six additional people in your new home, it clearly goes out of budget. And out of your personal mental health as well. She meant to buy a house for herself, not for her sister’s family as well. The homeowner’s decision should be easily understood, and there shouldn’t be a family drama for this, but for some reason, this family took it very personally that she wouldn’t let her sister’s family move in with her.

This is one of those situations that would bother most people. The family assumed things they didn’t know, and they seemed to be more upset about her refusal than about the sister making plans without even discussing it first. And what’s worse, they weren’t even happy for this hardworking woman’s achievement because they only thought about her sister.
