We should start labeling this as ‘corporate behavior’, and I don’t mean it in a good way. I believe we sometimes mimic conduct that isn’t helpful to a group’s overall health. I’m not saying we should step in every time we see a minor inconvenience, but we shouldn’t treat each other as if we’re not part of a bigger structure.
Human teams don’t function as machines do; they don’t benefit from each part doing one thing and one thing only; they benefit through exchange of knowledge, solidarity, kindness, good vibes, favours, and tons of other things.
So next time you feel like you should act like an AI, pause and reevaluate.
