CHAOS IN THE COLISEUM: BILLIONS WASTED AS OLYMPIC SPECTACLE IGNITES FURY

Forget the sports. Forget the games. Last night’s opening ceremony for the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics was a SHOCKING display of excess while the world burns. As thousands packed the San Siro stadium, cameras captured a surreal, multi-million-dollar fantasy completely divorced from reality.

Look at the photos. Look at Gabriel Bouys’s Getty Images of dancers under giant paint tubes. Look at Wang Zhao’s AFP shot of ballet dancers suspended in mid-air. Mariah Carey belting out hits, seen in another Wang Zhao frame, while Piero Cruciatti’s photos show performers in flawless Italian flag colors. It’s a PERFECT ILLUSION.

But who pays the price? While cities drown in debt and regular families struggle, the global elite applaud a circus. The images—like Javier Soriano’s shot of athletes parading—are proof. They show a world that exists only for the cameras, a grotesque party for politicians and corporations.

The media machine is complicit, selling you these beautiful, empty pictures. They want you to ignore the corruption, the displacement, the broken promises behind the glitter. They want you to stare at the Olympic Rings and feel awe, not rage.

Every smiling face in these photos is a slap to the face of the crumbling world outside the stadium walls.
