Aviva Mongillo is best known for her work on the 2016 series Backstage and she’s opening up about the realities of being a working actor who needs another job on the side.
The 27-year-old actress took to her TikTok account and posted a viral video in which she told a story about getting recognized at her retail job.

“I’m an actress and I also have a regular job. And I was at my regular job yesterday and I was helping a customer. And then at cash [register] she was like, ‘You know, you remind me so much of a girl that was on a show I used to watch when I was a kid,’” Aviva said.
She continued, “And I was like, ‘What show?’ And at this point I already know what she was talking about. And she goes, ‘I don’t know, it was like so niche I honestly don’t remember what it was called.’ And I was like, ‘Was it called Backstage?’ And she looks at me and she was like, ‘Is it you?’”
“And I was like, ‘Yep, that was ten years ago. What up?’ She’s like, ‘I don’t know what to say.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, me either.’ And then I was just kind of like, ‘Do you want your receipt?’” she concluded.
Aviva played Alya Kendrick on the series Backstage and was later a recurring star on Workin’ Moms. She has also appeared in the movies 1UP and Dear David, plus was most recently seen in the Netflix series Bet.
