And good for them! What their GF did — well, ex GF — is just so impolite it’s ridiculous. How would she feel if her partner sold off all her books, or her DVDs, or her clothing? Of course that would be totally unacceptable in her eyes. So it makes 0 sense that she could, in good conscience apparently, sell off something extremely valuable to her partner. 

Plus, when your really love someone, you love all of them, even the parts of them that you don’t necessarily understand or agree with. In fact, you might be playfully exasperated by their quirks and idiosyncrasies. But you’d never change those quirks, because it’s part of what makes them such a delightful person.
