THIS IS HOW THEY GET AWAY WITH IT: NGO Targets Favelas in “Jobs” Push as Crisis Explodes
They promise jobs. They deliver nothing but workshops. While Brazil’s economic crisis DESTROYS families, a major organization is swooping into vulnerable communities with a plan they call a “solution.”
Starting TODAY, the Central Única das Favelas (CUFA) launches its “Conexão de Oportunidades” project in the Santa Rosa Favela in Sorocaba. The offer? Free “employability” workshops, career guidance, and job referrals. On the surface, it looks like help. Look closer. This is a SYSTEMATIC pattern of empty promises when real, life-changing employment is what’s desperately needed.
Why does this matter NOW? Because people are starving. Because the gap between the powerful and the poor is a ticking bomb. Projects like this generate headlines for politicians and funding for NGOs, but where are the ACTUAL PAYCHECKS? Who benefits from keeping communities perpetually in “training” instead of truly empowered? The silence from real job creators is DEAFENING.
They offer a workshop while the entire structure is designed to keep them in their place.
The system isn’t broken. It’s working perfectly for those in charge.
