To quit in the middle of an all-company meeting video call is the same as standing up in the office and yelling it to the entire room that you quit. We love the drama! One time, I quit a job, and it was very anticlimactic. I said, “I don’t think I’m happy here,” and my boss at the time said, “Yeah, I can see that.” And that was that… When I left, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders and was SO happy. Sure, I was worried about how I was going to afford to live my life, but I was also 23 and reckless, so I would’ve been fine crashing on friends’ couches for a while. Actually, I crashed on my brother’s couch for four months after that… Anyways, all I’m saying is that I’ve never had the opportunity to be dramatic about quitting, so I love to hear that someone else is living the dramatic dream.
