This failure is no accident. Politicians get to look “tough on crime” by funding more jails. The media gets its shocking courtroom footage. But who is fighting to protect a child BEFORE they become a victim? Powerful voices stay SILENT on prevention. It’s easier to punish than to truly protect.
This is a national disgrace. We are locking the barn door after the horse is GONE—and celebrating it as a victory. Until we shift the money and the muscle to STOPPING abusers before they strike, we are complicit in the next headline, the next shattered life.
Our current strategy is just handing out umbrellas in a hurricane.
