There’s no worse feeling than the gut-wrenching pit in your stomach after a betrayal. Stinging behind your eyes and tugging at the strings in your throat, betrayal hurts far worse when it hits close to home. Luckily for this woman, she found out early enough in her relationship that her boyfriend is totally useless when it comes to money.
I don’t know if that changes the way her heart feels about him, but it certainly changes the way she’ll be saving her money: solo and in her own private access account.
Perhaps this is a lesson to all of us: next time we think about skipping out on lunch to save a little bit of skrilla, let’s be sure we’re on the same page with our entire household, and they’re not off buying luxury goods and shiny new shoes.
