This is what I mean about the friendships becoming lopsided: there’s just no way that any normal friendship would function this way. Like, even if your bestie had to miss your birthday or something, being sick is a valid excuse, right? You simply cannot show up when you’re sniffling and sneezing. It makes no sense to get upset about something you can’t control like that. And the bride is making this all about herself, as if her friend is purposefully sabotaging the big day.
