If we accept the theory that he was just trying to fit in with his male friends, what does that leave us with? How will that attitude look further down the line? If she has a more serious issue one day, will he laugh in her face with his buddies, and will she have to accept it as normal? If that’s the case, I’m not sure that’s the relationship she wants to accept. Of course, it all depends on the attitude he takes from now on, but she could very well just cut ties with him now just because of this and not try to work it through. She doesn’t owe the relationship to him. Anyways, I don’t think she is overreacting, and I consider this a huge red flag. Do you think it can be worked through?
