Sometimes workplace dilemmas aren’t really dilemmas at all: they’re just difficult conversations waiting to happen. One temporary employee found themselves in exactly that situation after receiving a much better job offer while still finishing out a short-term role. The position they were currently in didn’t include benefits and only had about a month left, so long-term stability wasn’t guaranteed.
Then a new opportunity came along offering a permanent position, higher pay, and benefits. For many people, that kind of offer would feel like an obvious choice. Still, the timing ended up creating more tension than expected.
