However, this person realized that not only was their coworker too “forgetful” to pay them back, he was also taking advantage of their niceness. 

This person shared that Dan has accidentally, coincidentally, forgotten his wallet like 15 times in 2 months. That is truly ridiculous! I’m surprised that this employee would let something like that go on for so long without a single Venmo transaction passing between the 2 of them. I know it can be awkward to send a Venmo request — it almost feels like begging! — but at this point, they might have to deal with the awkwardness and just request it.
