Nobody updates the group chat about a moved event date, and somehow that becomes your problem to solve retroactively, from bed, at 9am, unpaid. It’s the scheduling equivalent of getting stood up for brunch and then getting blamed for not showing up to the restaurant. The missing text doesn’t count as a mistake. Only the missing person does.

Running on fumes from doing a paralegal’s job for legal-assistant money changes the math on everything else. A tiny jab about holding a phone too long stops being a tiny jab and starts feeling like proof the whole arrangement was rigged from day one. Skip the unpaid Saturday shift nobody bothered to properly invite you to, and that’s not attitude, that’s just what a dry tank looks like when nobody thought to check the gauge.
