What also stunned me is the fact that some customers think that if things aren’t going your way and you want them to make an exception, they start streaming and making a scene. I don’t know who thinks that is a good idea, is probably the worst. Is asking for a favor but treating someone badly. Have these people never heard of the phrase: “A good act goes a long way”? If you want something, ask nicely. There are more chances that you get it that way than by screaming and throwing a temper tantrum.
I actually think that the problem is that people don’t think. They just believe that because they are paying, they have the power to make all the decisions and also treat everyone poorly. Well, they don’t. They can be denied service, and luckily, there are still some good managers who know how to stop these situations and put customers in their place. Â
