There are certainly times when you should turn the other cheek and not potentially ruin someone’s livelihood. We should all aim to be kinder to each other and build community.
This is not one of those times.
She’s been nosy long before this incident, she’s been weird long before this incident, hell she’s been strange towards your husband long before this incident, so I cannot believe that for as long as she’s been a mail carrier and as nosy as she is, that that is the first piece of mail she’s ever opened. Shes abusing her authority and position to look into people’s private lives and absolutely needs to suffer the consequences of committing felonies.
You build a trustworthy and kind community by expelling these types of people, not allowing them to continue, unchecked.
