An IT employee applied for two weeks’ vacation six months previously, which was approved. He proceeded to make detailed, non-refundable plans with his friends, only for his boss to suddenly cancel the vacation time a day before it was due to start.

He felt that this was totally unfair, and it was making him reconsider staying employed there. He wanted advice on whether it was worth staying or whether he should focus on his side project instead.
