This boss was particularly unimpressed by one of their interns, though. This fella can’t do anything right! Especially in a day and age where Google can answer any question, there’s just no reason an intern shouldn’t be able to do simple tasks like fixing the formatting of a deck or summarizing “key numbers,” whatever that means. Plus, even if Google doesn’t have the answers, this would teach the intern to determine the best person in the office to direct his question toward. Basically, there are tons of valuable lessons to be gleaned from an internship, but you have to want to learn. You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink! And in this boss’s case, they can put the intern in a desk chair, but they can’t make him do a drop of work when he’s feeling the entitlement of being Daddy’s special boy.
