FORGET THE STOCK MARKET. HBO’s “Industry” just exposed the DARKEST TRUTH about modern society: we are ALL becoming MONSTERS. The latest episode, “Eyes Without a Face,” isn’t just television—it’s a SHOCKING mirror held up to a generation rotting from the inside out, and the reflection will HAUNT you.

Witness Eric, a father so emotionally BANKRUPT he abandons his sleeping teenage daughter to pay a call girl to “make him feel big.” This is the new male role model: a hollowed-out shell who finds more humanity in a transactional sexual act than in his own flesh and blood. Meanwhile, Harper’s mother DIES, and her moment of vulnerability is portrayed as a “turn-off.” The show’s brutal message is clear: in our hyper-capitalist hellscape, EMPATHY IS A LIABILITY. Caring makes you WEAK.

But the REAL scandal unfolds in Accra, where a financial investigation reveals a conspiracy SO VAST it implicates the entire global system. Tender, a tech darling, is exposed as a TOTAL FRAUD—a house of cards built on fake profits and bribed officials in developing nations. This isn’t fiction; it’s a DOCUMENTARY of how modern corporations actually operate. They are EMPTY shells, and WE are the suckers buying their lies.

The personal is even more disturbing. A young female analyst is BRUTALLY ASSAULTED for digging too deep, her face licked and nose smashed in a bathroom. Her response? To have rough, giggling sex hours later. The show forces us to ask: has a lifetime of internet porn and trauma so warped us that violence and intimacy are now indistinguishable? The answer is a terrifying YES.

Eric and Harper’s twisted bond is the final nail in the coffin. He sees in her the ruthless ambition he worships; she sees in him the father figure she never had. They are a feedback loop of moral decay, proving that success today requires you to sacrifice EVERY shred of your soul. As their fund teeters on collapse, their only solace is in each other’s brokenness. This is the future they’ve built: a world where the only “family” that matters is a partnership forged in mutual exploitation. If this is what winning looks like, we have already LOST everything.
