It’s never easy to be confronted with your shortcomings. I almost cried yesterday when a friend told me I didn’t do the dishes properly at her house and that I was disorganised with my stuff. I mean, she was right, but it was something about the delivery that didn’t sit right with me. After we talked it through, I came to terms with what I had to do better and stopped being defensive, but it took a lot of empathetic back-and-forth. However, if someone doesn’t have the ability to stop, reevaluate, and go ‘Ok, something I’m doing has to change’ to me, it’s a major red flag.
