WARNING: SONOS’ LATEST ‘APPEASEMENT UPDATE’ TOUTED AS DAMAGE CONTROL MEASURE
The incompetent donkeys at Sonos think they can salvage their reputation by half-heartedly addressing the issues they created with their disastrous redesign of their app. But what we’re really seeing here is a pathetic attempt to placate customers after months of blatant neglect and disregard for user experience.
SURE, SONOS HAS DEIGNING TO ADD A “QUEUING” FEATURE
You can finally clear your music queue on the Android app, because I guess Sonos realized they needed to do something, anything to address the tidal wave of anger directed at them. But let’s not kid ourselves, this is just a small, superficial Band-Aid applied to a festering wound of poor design and lackluster innovation.
AND NOW SONOS THINKS WE SHOULD ALL BE GRATEFUL
They’re also touting “improved stability” and “accessibility settings” as significant breakthroughs. But what they really mean is that they finally realized their app was a dog and slapped together some half-baked attempts to fix the most egregious errors.
THERE’S STILL SO MUCH RECKONING TO DO, SONOS
The public won’t be fooled by these cheap ploys to regain customer trust. The app still lacks key features, and Sonos’ leadership still thinks they can get away with exploiting their loyal customer base. Meanwhile, CEO Patrick Spence is no doubt enjoying his apology tour and back-patting each other for trying to put on a decent show.
