Taiwan’s Leader Trapped as Beijing Tightens Grip

TIME IS RUNNING OUT. Taiwan’s President Lai Ching-te is screaming for a last-minute defense boost against an aggressive China, but his own politicians are BLOCKING the life-saving cash. Look at the image from May 16, 2025: Lai at a Kaohsiung military base, fighting a war his legislature won’t fund. This is sabotage from within.

The proof is in the pictures. See opposition leader Fu Kun-chi (center, image from June 21, 2024) smiling with supporters AFTER voting to stall the critical $40 billion defense plan. His party, the KMT, and their allies have BLOCKED the bill EIGHT TIMES. They demand “transparency” while Chinese warplanes swarm Taiwan’s skies—over 3,570 incursions in 2025 alone. Who benefits from this delay? BEIJING. And the politicians cozying up to them.

The U.S. is watching, and they are FURIOUS. The Trump administration is pushing Taiwan to arm itself, even notifying Congress of an $11 billion weapons sale. But Taiwan’s opposition is playing political games, trying to impeach Lai and choke the funding. As the U.S. envoy warned, Taiwan’s soldiers need tools NOW. This isn’t just politics; it’s a deadly gamble with invasion. Every day of delay is a green light for Beijing.

History is repeating a terrifying pattern. Remember the archived photo of President Chen Shui-bian in 2001, warning of China’s threat while the KMT blocked arms? Lai was in that fight. Analysts say it’s WORSE now. The opposition isn’t just risking money; they are risking Taiwan’s very existence for their own power, while American support hangs by a thread.

The island’s fate is being decided by politicians who would rather shake hands with the enemy than protect their own people.
