THE NATION IS ARMED AND ON EDGE: PM’S DAM WARNING IGNITES FEAR AS CITIZENS RUSH FOR GUNS
Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi stood before a massive crowd and delivered a chilling warning. The “horrible face” of terrorism is back in Punjab, he declared, vowing to finish the menace “once for all” after laying the foundation for the Thein Dam. But his words are landing in a country that is already arming itself.
While Gandhi spoke of strengthening democracy, a DEADLY RUSH is happening nationwide. The government’s own State Trading Corporation has unleashed a flood of imported, sophisticated pistols and revolvers into the public’s hands. License holders are scrambling to buy, driven by a fear the state cannot contain. This isn’t peace—it’s preparation for chaos.
Look at the bloodshed encircling us. In Lebanon, SIX INDIAN BODIES recovered from communal riots. In Sri Lanka, Tamil guerilla landmines just slaughtered 11 security personnel in brutal explosions. The violence is leaking across borders, and our leaders respond with speeches and gun sales.
Who benefits from a terrified, armed population? Who stays silent as the court’s shady history on these very weapons is buried? Elections are announced for Assam, but the real vote is happening at gun counters, where citizens are choosing self-defense over empty promises.
They are selling us the problem and the solution, and the bill is paid in blood.
