After toying with the possibilities, it’s clear that this employee isn’t going to roll over and get walked on this time. Today, he’s taking a stand against the outrageous demands of the HR department to send a message to the C-Level community. 

No, boss, I won’t buy you a $50 birthday gift; I won’t even spend $50 to buy myself something nice. 

So with that in mind, never settle for a half-slice of room-temperature pizza just to appease your boss’s willynilly demands. In reality, they have no idea what’s going on in the minds of the workforce, and it’s up to us, the workers, to tell them.
