This opinion was validated by other people who have either worked remotely or knew someone who did. As it is true, it’s really easy to appear busy when you don’t have your boss walking to your desk to “control” you. And usually, the employees who know their shifts and respect them spend all their work time actually doing their job instead of just responding quickly to messages. The more they seem to be working remotely as they would on-site, the better employees they prove to be. So let’s not assume that we know how remote work really is and actually listen to the people who have been doing this kind of work for a while.
