Look, the baker friend might have other reasons to break up this friendship that we don’t know about, but if she is being honest and the reasons she gave are the real ones, she seriously needs to reevaluate if she can live by the same standards she imposes on other people. I’ve been a terrible friend during very trying times in my life, and some of my best friends have been terrible to me  other times; what cultivated truly prosperous friendships was the willingness and the effort to always make it right and stay together. Are we all perfect now? Did we lose the plot?
