Like, for example, the laws that say where you can and cannot park. For instance, there is a reason you can’t park in front of someone’s driveway, and a reason a certain road is permit-only parking. However, in many neighborhoods, the streets are fair game for parking unless otherwise stated. So, you can pull up to any free spot and park.
