ESKOM IS DECLARING WAR ON SOUTH AFRICA’S SOLAR REVOLUTION. The failing state monopoly, responsible for crippling blackouts, is now using THREATS and LEGAL OVERREACH to FORCE citizens who have taken power into their own hands to REGISTER their private solar systems—or face DISCONNECTION. This is NOT about safety; it’s about CONTROL and a desperate cash grab.

In a shocking ultimatum, the utility has extended a so-called “compliance campaign,” offering a pitiful R10,000 bribe to cover its OWN fees, while experts reveal a MASSIVE REBELLION is underway. “People are resisting. And, you know, if the public resists, as in e-tolls, the whole system will collapse,” warns energy expert Chris Yelland. He estimates OVER 80,000 installations remain defiantly unregistered, with fewer than 10% complying. This is a nationwide act of CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE against a tyrannical mandate.

The battle lines are drawn: AfriForum and other organizations are mounting a legal offensive, accusing Eskom of acting BEYOND ITS LEGAL AUTHORITY by trying to regulate systems that operate “behind the meter” on private property. “Eskom has not yet been able to indicate a single regulation that authorises it to impose such fines,” states the civil rights group. This is a BLATANT POWER GRAB, an attempt to stifle the very independence that exposed Eskom’s catastrophic failures.

While Eskom collapses under its own weight, it now wants to PUNISH those who dared to find a solution. Their ultimate goal? To monitor, control, and TAX the sunlight on your roof. The question every South African must now ask is chilling: do you own your power, or does the state own YOU?
