Once the neighbors received an offer to have their dog trained by the stranger next door, that should have sounded every siren of warning in their heads about their dog being disruptive. People don’t just offer to train another person’s dog, because it’s time-consuming and complicated… Unless, of course, said dog’s behavior is impacting them directly.
I’ve offered my fair share of dog training tips to the neighbors, hoping they’d leash their untrained pups or at least guide their poochy snouts, but to no avail. Some neighbors have their heads too deep in the sand to realize that their decisions affect the people around them, sometimes to the point of making them lose sleep over their poor judgment.
